About Jes

Hometown: Worland, WY

Education: Associates of Science in Radiologic Technology

First Job: Babysitting during the summer when I was 11! I made $2.50 an hour and thought I was a pretty big deal!

How I got into the insurance business: My husband and I decided in 2017 that I would take a break from Radiology after our son was born.  I have really enjoyed my role as a stay-at-home mother, but with Duncan heading to preschool in the fall, I was looking for a new challenge.  Back in late 2019, Mia and I started throwing around the idea about me possibly joining the Mosaic team down the road.  In June 2021, she presented me with an opportunity to join Mosaic and I accepted!

Accomplishments and milestones: I have been a Registered Radiologic Technologist since 2003, certified both nationally and in the State of Wyoming; I passed my CT (Computed Tomography) Boards in 2017, adding to my certification; Worland HS Cheer & Dance team Assistant Coach, fall seasons 2019 & 2020 and the winter/spring season 2020, where our Dance team placed 3rd at the State Spirit Competition

Biggest career break:  Accepting the challenge to grow in a new direction and joining Mosaic Planning Group!  I still get to help & take care of people, and that is truly my passion!

About my family: My husband, Jonah, and I just recently celebrated 13 years of marriage! We have a daughter, Finlee, who is turning 9 this year, and a son, Duncan, who just turned 4.  Jonah is a Special Education teacher and Girl’s Assistant Basketball Coach at Worland HS.  Our family loves supporting our Worland Warriors!

Best advice I’ve received:  You could be a whole ray of sunshine and people will hate you because they are used to the rain…Be okay with shining regardless!

Something else I’d like to accomplish: I’d like to start taking time at the end of everyday to mentally congratulate myself for small wins! For example: Did I drink enough water? Did I get at least 7 hours of sleep? Was I mindful about how I spent my time? Are the kids still alive? You know, things like that!

Mentor who has had the biggest impact on me: My Dad, Mike Graham. My Dad taught me the importance of character, honesty, respect, kindness, and saying thank you.  He taught me that independence comes with responsibility, and he allowed me to learn the hard way.  He instilled in me the value of hard work and that it pays off. He is proof of that.  When I was 2, my dad was a Pipeliner 3 for Marathon. Over the years, I have watched him as he worked his way up the ladder.  He is currently the Operations Manager of the Express Platte pipeline with Enbridge. I am so proud of him. He motivates me to be better than I was the day before.

Outside interests:  I love watching and/or playing sports! Basketball, Volleyball, and Football are my favorites!  I love taking road trips, especially “Girls Trips” with Finlee! I also enjoy spending time with friends and family!

Favorite vacation spot:  I don’t know that I have a favorite! I would love to get back down to Isla Mujeres someday, though!  As a family of 4, we have been on some fun adventures and I always look forward to making new memories wherever we go!

Other careers I would like to try:  I would love to be a successful home based baker (no pun intended)!  I LOVE to bake, and I think it would be amazing to do custom cookies, cakes, and sweets for people!

Favorite cause/charity: Food Bank of Wyoming, Playing for Hope Foundation
